Privacy Policy — X4 Cockpit Client
1. What this app is
X4 Cockpit Client is a companion display app for the PC game X4: Foundations. It connects over the local network to the Windows bridge/server running on the user’s computer and shows a HUD / cockpit layout on a phone or tablet. The app does not require a cloud account and is not a standalone online service.
2. Scope
This policy applies to the mobile client published by Sajmonsoft. It does not cover X4: Foundations or Egosoft, the bridge software running on the user’s PC, or third-party websites linked from the app.
3. Data handling
Sajmonsoft does not operate a backend that receives personal data from this app. In normal use the app communicates only with the bridge host and port entered by the user.
The app may store on the device the last bridge address, a cached HUD layout, and cached background images. It may send screen size, aspect ratio, and device manufacturer to the user’s bridge so the display can be fitted correctly. It receives from the user’s bridge HUD layout data, related display assets, and game-state values used on screen. Battery level and the local clock are read only on the device for optional HUD widgets. Touch interactions on the HUD may be forwarded to the user’s bridge as part of the companion session.
The app does not collect name, email, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, microphone audio, advertising ID, payment data, or account credentials.
4. Third parties
The app does not use advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs for tracking. If a bridge outside the local network is configured, traffic goes to that host under the user’s responsibility.
5. Local storage and choices
Stored data can be cleared in Android app settings or by uninstalling the app. The saved host and port can be changed or removed in the connection screen. Connection is optional; only a trusted bridge should be used.
6. Children
The app is a companion tool for a PC simulation game and is not directed at children under 13. It does not collect personal data from children.
7. Changes
This policy may be updated when the app’s data practices change. The “Last updated” date will be revised. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
